The tutorial that I worked on is the Frozen tutorial. In the time that I had, which was less than an hour, I reached up to level 19 out of 20. Some difficulties as to why I was not able to complete it was because our class was not able to get a full hour since we only had about 40 minutes of class time but 10 minutes are spent for Ms. Stahl-Van Brackle to introduce to the class what we have to do. This means that we only had about a half an hour (30 minutes) to do one coding tutorial. Another difficulty was that some of my classmates were very disruptive. Sometimes, Ms. Stahl-Van Brackle had to reprimand them several times for them to stay focus on their work. The tutorial was very interesting since I think it is very artistic and creative. While I was doing this tutorial, when I coded, Anna and Elsa would "skate" and while doing so make shapes like snowflakes and a bunch of circles that formed a flower shape.I also find it interesting since I really like the movie Frozen. Some skills that I learned are how to code and how to move a sprite. I also learned the "loop" which was instead of doing the same numerous codes, I can just loop it to repeat the same code over and over. However, I am not really sure that if I had used similar tools as this. I would recommend this tutorial to elementary students and maybe middle school students because this tutorial is very easy to follow and very fun to do. I also think that this tutorial is very helpful to first-time coding students. However, I think that for the students who have been coding for years, this tutorial is not very challenging for them and I think that maybe they should try something harder.

The tutorial that I worked on is the Lost in Space tutorial. In the time that I had, which was less than an hour, I completed 2 levels (which I think consisted of small game levels) that it offered while I was doing the tutorial. Some difficulties as to why I was not able to complete it was again because our class was not able to get a full hour since we only had about 40 minutes of class time but 10 minutes are spent for Ms. Stahl-Van Brackle to introduce to the class what we have to do. This means that we only had about a half an hour (30 minutes) to do one coding tutorial. In addition to that, there were times where some of my classmates were very disruptive. Sometimes, Ms. Stahl-Van Brackle had to reprimand them several times for them to stay focus on their work. The tutorial was very interesting since I think it was more of like a game in which you had to use codes to make the character ("sprite") move to collect the power cell for its rocket ship and to avoid its enemies. Some skills that I learned are how to code and how to move a sprite. I also learned once again the "loop" which was instead of putting many of the same codes, I can just loop it once to repeat the same code over and over. However, I am also not really sure if I had used similar tools as this. I think it is sort of like Pacman since it has pathways that the character has to use to obtain an item (in this case, it was either a power cell or other materials that the character needs) and the character also has to avoid its enemies or else the game would not be completed. I would recommend this tutorial to elementary students and maybe middle school students because this tutorial is also entertaining and easy to do.This tutorial is also helpful to students who are new to coding like I was. However, I think that this tutorial is not challenging for the students who have been coding for years and I think that they should try harder tutorials so they could learn more on how to code.
The tutorial that I worked on is the Code Combat - JavaScript/Python tutorial. In the time that I had, which was exactly an hour, I completed 1 location in the map (shown in the pictures below) which I think had small levels or locations within them (also shown in the pictures below). Some difficulties as to why I was not able to complete the whole map was that there were times where I had some disruptions while doing this tutorial at home. Another difficulty was that in the locations on the map, there are locations within it which means there are many levels to do that would take more than one hour. The tutorial was very interesting since I the tutorial was more of a game in which you had to use codes to make the character ("sprite") move to collect the gems and to defeat its enemies or the "ogres". Some skills that I learned again are how to code and how to move a sprite. I also learned again the "loop" which was instead of having the same numerous codes, I can just loop the code to repeat the same code how many times I wanted it to. However, I am also not really sure if I had used similar tools as this. I think it is sort of Minecraft since it requires you to type in commands so the character would do a certain action. I would recommend this tutorial to both elementary students and middle school students because this tutorial is also entertaining, fun, and very engaging. I think that this tutorial is not too easy but not too hard. This tutorial is helpful to students who are new to coding like I was but there were some levels which took me more time than others since I found it harder. However, I think that this tutorial can be challenging for the students who have been coding for years since there are many levels within the many locations on the map. I think that both students who are new to coding and those who have been coding for years can learn a lot of coding from this tutorial.
